Overview
The vertical type vacuum high-pressure gas quenching furnace is designed for quenching and annealing of long work pieces which require heating in vertical posture, such as tube and shaft.
Main Application
Quenching, annealing and tempering for alloy steel/Brazing and sintering/Solution and Precipitationg-hardening for high alloy/Combination of various heat treatment processes, eg: brazing and hardening in a single cycle.
◆Quenching and Cooling
A high power motor with gas circulating fan and thermal exchanger are mounted on the side of vessel wall. The cooling gas flows from hot zone to the gas cooler through gas conduit, then enters into hot zone from top or bottom; reversible gas flow is available, which quench the treated parts. The reverse is controlled according to programmed time sequence.
This cooling method decreases the temperature difference of work pieces during cooling process, which effectively avoids the deformation.
◆Heating under the Partial Pressure
The alloy element Zn, Mg, Mn, Al, Cr etc. in the surface of the work pieces is easily vaporized during vacuum heating treatment. In order to prevent metallic evaporation of work pieces and alloys during the heat treatment process, the pressure in the furnace has to be increased according to the evaporation curves of the corresponding material. This is done with an inert gas, which is dosed and fed via a mechanical dosaging valve into the furnace.
◆Heating system and insulation
The heating chamber with vertical, cylinder structure is simple and reliable. Heaters and heating insulation are made of graphite. The heaters are uniformly distributed in the heating chamber, which are partitioned into several zones along the vertical direction for independent control of each zone. Water-cooled current lead-through, made of cooper, are mounted into the vessel, which extend the electrode life and improve the reliability.
The insulation is built of multilayer graphite. The joints and fixers are made of CFC materials, which extend the life of heating chamber. The furnace is equipped with one S-type thermocouple and two N-type thermocouples to control working temperature .
