Overview:
Horizontal type vacuum high-pressure gas quenching furnace is a typical representative of advanced heat treatment equipment.
Main Application:
Hardening, annealing and tempering for high, medium and low alloy steels/High temperature brazing/Carburizing and hardening for case hardening /Solution treatment and precipitation hardening for super alloy/Combination of various heat treatment processes, eg: brazing and hardening in a single cycle.
◆Heating under partial pressure
The alloy element Zn, Mg, Mn, Al, Cr etc. on the surface of work pieces is easily vaporized during vacuum heating treatment. Therefore, the furnace is flooded with high purity N2 to keep the work pieces heated under the set pressure, which ensures the brightness of work pieces without vaporizing alloy elements.
◆Quenching and Cooling
Exchange the gas flow direction by turning on and off the deflector plate. This cooling method can lessen the temperature difference of work pieces during cooling process and effectively avoid deformation of work pieces.

◆ Heating system and Insulating
The insulation of the rectangular hot zone is made of hard felt graphite plates covered with graphite foil. The hard felt insulation, which is tight from all sides, reduces the thermal loss to a minimum. The joint and fixer made of CFC-strips material, which extends the effective life of heating chamber.

The furnace is installed with a S type thermocouple and two N type thermocouples to control the working temperature and the temperature differences of work pieces.
The vacuum heat treatment plant, type VKNQ is a simple, reliable and easy maintenance furnace with a horizontal, cubical zone. Heaters and heating insulation are made of graphite. The 12 heaters are equally arranged around the furnace wall which effectively ensures the uniformity of the temperature in furnace and easily to be replaced. The water-cooled current lead-throughs, made of copper, are mounted vacuum-tight and pressure tight into the vessel, which extend the copper electrode’s life and improved the reliability.
◆Convective Heating
Because of low efficiency of radiative transfer below 800℃, the furnace is flooded with 1.5-2 bar inert gas( high purity N2) which is agitated by convective motor. During convective operation, the excellent temperature uniformity in the working zone can be obtained, also heating efficiency is improved.
