Organized by the China Heat Treatment Industry Association, the Heat Treatment Branch of the China Mechanical Engineering Society, and the Teaching Guidance Committee of the College of Materials of the Ministry of Education and co-hosted by Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin Science and Technology Association, Heat Treatment Industry Association Educational Training Committee, the “2017 China University Students Materials Heat Treatment Knowledge and Skills Contest” was held at the same time in four competition areas throughout the country. The venues were located at Fuzhou University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Hebei University of Technology and Harbin Institute of Technology. The 138 teams that entered the finals participated in the first phase （June 11th） of the Basic Theory Knowledge Comprehensive Examination and the second stage （June 18th） of the competition for typical case analysis; In July 10-12, the organizing committee of the competition summarized the preliminary evaluation results of the test cores and case studies of the teams participating in the competitions. The relevant experts were organized to complete the final evaluation work at Harbin Institute of Technology.
